Overall, I am not very pleased with the majority of the events that I endured whilst in Northwick Park Hospital. I was an inpatient for a week 17th-27th of August, I have been diagnosed with ulcerated Colitis which means my condition is dependent on certain foods/drinks and periods of stress my bowl becomes inflamed and is very painful.
During my week I called "the difficult patient" by a doctor which I didn't find amusing as I was in a great deal of pain, I was left for two hours unable to move as I was left attached to an ECG monitor after readings had been taken. I needed t go to the bathroom during this time and was unable to take the monitor off myself due to being so weak, during this time staff did see me and when I tried to tell them I wanted to move I was ignored.
Finally, when I came to the hospital I had medical records from America which Northwick Park have now "misplaced" lost. My American medical insurance company has stated, if I do not find my medical records they gave me I have to pay for all of my treatment whilst I was in America amounting to $24,000+. I have since contacted my Doctors secretary urging how important this issue is.
"lost medical documentation"
