"I had a very embarrasing condition and..."

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

What I liked

I had a very embarrasing condition and feel so appreciative that the staff were very sensitive to my obvious embarrassment and made me feel very comfortable.

The interpersonal skills of the urologist and the junior doctor were exceptional, knowledge is very important (which they both had) but i am so grateful to how i was communicated with and how things were explained in a "human" way.

I also think it is very efficent how you go straight from outpatients to pre-assessment for day surgery to save another trip into hospital, again as I am very embarrssed about my condition I appreciated that information had been relayed so i did not need to answer the same set of questions again and believe this shows good communication between the departments and made this much more comfortable for me as I had got myself worked up about the outpatients appointment anyway (which i now reflect was unnecessary with how kind the staff were) and this efficent transistion between departments again relived my anxities.

Anything else?

Thankyou very, very much.
