The nurse was nice.

What could be improved

I had to wait 1.5 hours to see a doctor. He then told me that if he had read the letter concerning my care he would have referred me to his colleague, as he cannot carry out the surgery I require. I have already been assessed for surgery by another hospital, and it stated clearly in the letter from them what needs to be done (just moving to a hospital nearer to where I live). I came away after a 2 hour visit, which cost me in petrol, money to park and complex arrangements to have my children cared for. Now faced with doing it all over again, who knows how long the wait will be this time. Does no-one read referal letters? What a waste of my time, not to mention taking up an appointment that another patient could have used.

Waiting area very old. Desk falling apart. Nothing to read.
