"Very unhappy with unprofessional attitude"

About: Failsworth Group Practice

Struggled to get an appointment or my 6 year old daughter, I eventually got one on Monday morning at 8.40. We got there and had to wait nearly 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor for all of 4 minutes.I went because my daughter has a bald patch in her head. The doctor did not speak to my daughter, which I found very rude. The doctor shone a torch or 30 seconds and told me the doctor doubted it was fungal more likely to be alopecia but the doctor was going to prescribe me some cream in case it was fungal. I was told I have to use it twice a day or 2 months.

The doctor then asked me why I didn't seem happy with what they had said. Have contradicted what the doctor had said by giving me the cream and basically telling me the doctor doubted it would work but was not prepared to do anything or another few months.

I then spoke to the reception staff who told me it wasn't their fault I had waited for the appointment or the complete lack o information i had been given and I had to take it up with the doctor,

I asked for a copy of the complaints procedure to be ignored.

The whole thing was a farce from start to finish, absolutely ridiculous

I sincerely apologise for the way you have been treated at the surgery. We have a robust complaints procedure and I do not know why it has failed in your case, please contact me, rmc@nhs.net as soon as possible.
