I am astounded at the negative reviews on here. I moved to Petersgate Medical Centre almost 23years ago as I was very unhappy with the surgery I was registered with.
Other than first thing in a morning, which to be honest is the same at the majority of practices, I always manage to get through on the telephone. . . Perhaps if people only booked an appointment when actually needed, there would be more appointments available!
I have always sang the praises of this surgery and all the staff, to the extent that my 76 year old Mother has just transfered here. For the first time in years Mum feels like she's being listened to.
My 26 year old son, who is diagnosed with autism and tourette's syndrome as well as several debilitating mentel health issues, would not be the independent, confident adult he is today were it not for the unwavering support from all the Petersgate team throughout his life.
I don't visit the surgery often, but when I thought I'd found a lump in my breast, it was dealt with swiftly, professionally and with concern, and no it wasn't breast cancer!
I do steer clear of one GP, but will admit that I do feel this is due to a clash of personalities (I'm very opinionated!) rather than there being an issue with that Doctor!
Receptionists are fantastic, and always pleasant, courteous and professional.
Will always rate this practice as an A***.
