"I attended Day Surgery Centre on Friday..."

What I liked

I attended Day Surgery Centre on Friday 15th October for foot surgery. The whole procedure was clearly explained before the operation and all the staff were kind and respectful.

After surgery I spent the night in the 23 hour ward. The nursing care was excellent although staff were very busy and short staffed. Night Nurse was particularly kind and patient.

What could be improved

Although I had requested a medical certificate on the Friday this had not been signed and a Doctor was not available to sign it on the Saturday morning. I have been assured that it will be posted to me. Neither was I given a date for my 2 week follow up appointment and this will also have to be sent by post.

Also as it was Saturday and the 23 hour ward closes for the weekend I felt Ithere was a rush to get me discharged early on Saturday morning
