"Neck injury remains untreated"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

(as the patient),

Broke my neck over a year ago, misdiagnosed four times so when I eventually got to someone who knew what he was doing 9 weeks had passed.

Anyway the surgeon after 9 weeks said he could do nothing but then said I needed an operation. I received a letter saying I was to be admitted for the operation but importantly not an actual letter of admission (time date etc).

Eventually I made an appointment to see the surgeon again at which he said I had survived for 3 months so he would not risk doing anything and I could clear off and get on with it.

I have subsequently been told by others that something should really be done to stabilise the situation as I have a major cervical dislocation at C5/6. As it is I am wondering what to do next. GP has said I should try to move on, you try "moving on" with a badly deformed cervical spine.

The NHS did this to me, a rename is in order, National Harm Service feels more appropriate.
