Thank you so much for taking the time to send your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you have had to wait this long for an appointment. It is not acceptable. A major improvement programme is underway to transform our services for outpatients and a big part of this is to improve the appointments process. We are improving internal processes to ensure that no patient will have to wait more than eight weeks for an appointment and most will be seen within four weeks of their GP referral. We are committed to notifying patients of their first clinic appointment within 10 working days of their GP referral - and if we have your mobile number, we'll text you a reminder. We have also set up a dedicated helpline for patients and GPs to call with any appointment issues, tel: 020 7377 7074 (9am-5pm, Monday to Friday). We know that certain areas of the trust are experiencing high demand for their services and we are looking to resolve the appointment-slot issues in these clinics as a priority. If you would like your particular case to be investigated fully, please contact please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 020 7943 1335 or email our complaints team at complaints@bartsandthelondon.nhs.uk
