What I liked

I had heard some negative things about Crawley hospital in the past so was pleasently suprised when I started my treatment. I had 3 outpatient appointments from the end of June to the begining of July. I had an ultrasound and two hydroscopys. On each occasion I was seen by the consultant who explained the procedure clearly. The staff were very friendly and made me feel relaxed. I even got tea and biscuites after each treatment.! Also after each procedure I received a letter informing me in writing of the results that had been discussed with me on the day of treatment. I had my final op scheduled for 27th August but had to cancell because of flu. When I arrived on 8th October, I found the day surgery to be modern, clean and well equiped. The staff were brilliant and the whole experience left me feeling very positive. I cant thank them enough. I do have private health care insurance but would not have received any better care. They were kind, efficient and very professional. I would definitely recommend this Unit to any women needing treatment for gynacological problems

What could be improved

The beds doubled up as theatre trollies and were a little narrow but as i was only on it a few hours it wasnt really a problem. The material of the hospital gowns did not feel very comfortable on my skin and could be improved.

Anything else?

I was refered to the clinic by my GP who told me I would be seen quickly. In fact I was given an appointment within 5 days. My course of treatment was completed within two months from begining to end. Considering the number of people who must come through the hospital I find the time scale very impressive. I was able to be treated without having to take much time off work. I certainly hope this facility is allowed to continue to operate and will not be affected by government cuts as this would indeed be a crime
