"I recently had an operation on the women's..."

About: Peterborough City Hospital / Gynaecology

I felt the need to write and give my praise for the nhs and the wonderful staff they employ. I recently had an operation, from the original consultation to the time of discharge was amazing.

On arrival I said to my partner that I wanted to be in and out as soon as possible as I thought I would hate everything about the place, right down to a pre conceived smell!! I was treated like royalty with so much care and compassion I really didn't want to leave, I felt safe and card for. The porter delivering me to my operation to the consultant have left such an impression on me I am totally in ore of such professional caring individuals.

My time on the ward was lovely, I felt so poorly but the nurses made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. I clearly could see how busy the ward was but the nurses never showed this and nothing was too much trouble. The elderly ladies on my ward were shown the care and patience they deserved.

The student nurse who looked after me really got me through such a tough time I will always be grateful.

I am recovering at home well, my time in hospital has left me with such a positive attitude. The NHS does is a great organisation made so by the dedicated staff, my greatest thanks to all in the Women's Health Ward.
