3) Disinterested;
4) Unwelcoming;
5) Hurried;
6) Talking at me rather than to me.
The above list describes my recent experience with BMI Blackheath's Gastroenterology Department, where I was made to feel I was wasting their time, instead of confident that a problem I have been suffering with for eight months (and has kept me from returning to work) might now be resolved with their expertise.
I am unaccustomed to fighting a health condition such as this, and negotiating the unknown world of the health system.
So I was shocked at how I was made to feel pretty worthless in the eyes of this Department as an NHS patient.
Why would you accept NHS patients to treat them this way, and give them the false hope that by seeing yourselves they will be helped?
I can only surmise that you take on NHS patients as an additional source of income to support your private patients, but you aren't really serious about helping them.
