I returned home recently after 17 days as a patient on Haem/Onc Ward. I had excellent care from the whole Haem/Onc team, who not only treated me for problems caused by my Myelodysplasia, but who also involved the Cardiac team because of my heart failure. They all worked together to produce a plan which resulted in my making a huge improvement all round. I had all the necessary diagnostic tests for a full assessment to be done so that my on-going care could be carefully planned. I have had excellent care each time I have been admitted to the hospital.
Thanks are also due to the ancillary staff who were kind and cheerful.
I attend the Haem/ Onc Day Unit on a regular basis and all of the staff have been wonderful, very caring and committed and often going out of their way to be helpful. I am so fortunate to receive such care.
"Excellent care, as always"
