"Appalling service - why is the CCG not doing..."

I have been with this surgery for only a year and every single time i have contact it is appalling.

Today my 10 year old asthmatic son was very wheezy, he has been getting worse since the wkend. His inhalers weren't helping so he needed to see a Dr. I called the surgery, i was told by an automated voice that i was in a queue, then the automated voice told me they were very busy and for me to call back, then phone line went dead!

At my previous 'single handed' GP surgery, my GP always saw children on the day you called.

As my son need to see a Dr i then called 111, they asked me a series of health questions about my son's condition and advised that he needed to see a Dr within the hour! So i headed to the Merlyn Vaz Out of Hours centre, saw a Dr who prescribed steroids.

I just do not know what the point is of this GP surgery, they receive money for having my family on their list but do notifier us a service! Leicester City CCG needs to investigate.
