What I liked
Walnut Ward is a great ward with caring staff who have time to patients and relatives. However Juniper Ward was understaffed with many busy, seeminly uncaring staff. The dignity of patients was not high on the priority and the basic nursing care was poor.
What could be improved
Basic nursing care needs improving on Juniper Ward, more staff need to be employed and some members of staff need to understand that patients do not want to be there suffering and deserve and need some understanding.
Information to relatives is scant - there's no point giving all the information to the patient especially when he/she is confused.
Anything else?
I shall be making an official complaint - with far more detail than here - but just wanted to express my concerns on this forum.
