About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

What I liked

I liked leaving the hospital

What could be improved

No nhs patients on private wards, private wards are for private insurance or self funding patients, not for overflow for nhs beds. Private patients pay for the right to more privacy better care. patients meals.

Anything else?

It is clear that numbers seen and treated are more important than quality of care. Staff are complaining constantly patients are not bathed and washed regularly, basic nursing care is overlooked. it is clear that management is out of touch with people on ward level,Nurses work hard understaffed and are sick of carrying along senior staff.who appear to spend all their time at the desk. urine specimens are left for long periods in toilets, an infection risk! patients are confused by catering staff who cant understand english.Meals are discusting.

We are sorry to hear that you objected to having NHS patients on our private patient ward. All patients on Cringleford ward have individual rooms which affords privacy for all our patients. Our first duty is to provide NHS services and there are times when NHS patients may be put on the private ward. We would suggest making a complaint if you have concerns about the care you experienced so that we can follow up and take action, where appropriate.
