My father was referred to the EMU. We were quickly shown to a bed and very soon investigations were underway and a doctor came to see my father. They were patient and kind, listening to my father and then examining him. The Dr also listened to what I said and included me in the discussion. The nurses were kind and although busy were patient and vry efficient. All treatment was explained. We were there several hours but had complete confidence in what was decided.
The unit was very clean and we'll ordered even though it was very busy.
Dad had to go back the next day and again the staff were superb in particular the doctor and 2 nurses. Everything was explained and we were given tea.
I cannot thank the staff enough. It is a superb service and so efficient. I don't know what would have happened if we had not been referred to the EMU. Likely a vry long wait in hospital and then a probable time in hospital.
Thank you
By the way EMU is not one of the departments I can tick so "don't know " used
"EMU outstanding"
