"Nothing was too much trouble and I felt very cared for"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Newport)

(as the patient),

I was taken to AAE by my boyfiend as I was experiencing funy "turns". As a staff member who works in the labs, I really didn't want to impact on a busy department who I now are underpressure, but my boyfriend insististed.

To cut a long story short, I was admitted to MAAU and stayed there for 3 and a half days. I cannot thank the staff enough for all their help and support. From the moment I arrived in AAE I was treated with respect, dignity and with the upmost care.

Nothing was too much trouble and I felt very cared for. I received CAT scans, MRI, Lumbar punctures and blood tests. Though nothing can be pinpointed at the moment I am waiting for a referral to Neurology to investigate further. I can honestly say my experience beig a patient was 100% positive and I cannot thank all the staff enough. They were constantly checking on me to make sure I was comfortable and my stats were good. Please, please pass on my thanks to all staff in AAE, MAAU and MRI for there care. It was very much appreciated.

Dear M1ckey

Thank you very much for this positive feedback which has been shared with the staff in the teams who looked after you.

I am pleased you were looked after and felt supported during your stay. I do hope that you are feeling better, and that your soon seen by the neurologist for further investigations.
