"Re - Referred Appointments Policy"

About: John Coupland Community Hospital

Having had my initial appointment with a consultant I was given a further appointment approx. some 12 weeks later.

I really was amazed that no follow up letter, text, email etc was issued as has been my previous experience with my local Dr./Dentist/Physio etc. purely for the reason that "we don't do that here"

My own fault that I missed my appointment (though getting on in years and starting to suffer from loss of memory) I asked for a late cancellation rather than have to wait for another 12 weeks.

Apparently it doesn't seem like they do this either.

How many 'no shows' and cancellations could be filled just by reminding patients and by contacting those on a waiting list prepared to attend at anytime ?
