"Telephone contact impossible"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / General surgery

Having spent the best part of a morning trying to get through to the General Surgery department, I can only conclude there is no one there to answer it. Could I suggest you try calling 01604 634700 and see how far you get - you will be caller number one for as long as you want to wait.

This is clearly not good enough and wants some action to sort it.

I'm sure I will not be the only one to submit a comment.

We're really sorry to hear about the difficulties you are experiencing in making contact with the general surgery department.

We are having some problems with our telephone system at the moment which are being resolved.

If you continue to experience difficulties please ring our patient advice and liaison service on 01604 545784 (9.00am – 4.30pm weekdays; answerphone at other times) and they will do all they can to assist you.
