"Visit today to breast screening department"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

Following a mammogram

I received a letter inviting me to attend today for re assessment

From the smiling receptionist to the nurses and the radiographers together with the excellent Doctor who explained everything very clearly I could not fault the treatment I received.

As you can imagine it is a stresstful time until thankfully my lump turned out to be a cyst that

Was removed pain free there and then. I was seen ten minutes before my appointment and the whole event lasted no longer then 40 minutes. Everyone was exceptional and I cannot thank the staff who dealt with me enough for the first class professional service.

Tempered with sympathy and understanding

Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind words regarding your assessment and procedure at the Breast Screening Department at the RVI. We understand that being called back after a mammogram can be really stressful for our patients and we try to make the experience as pleasant as possible, keeping patients informed along the way. We will share your feedback all staff in the team, who will appreciate your kind words regarding their emotional support and care.
