"Care after loss of our baby"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Maternity

(as a service user),

We felt lost and alone. Our consultant was there to hold us up and keep us going. She kept in contact with us long after we lost our boy and mentioned him by name in her communications. She took time - which as a nurse I know is a valuable commodity.

The consultant was Tracey and the couples counselling was provided by the hospital by a midwife who was familiar with our case and offered grief counselling also.

Excellent care and excellent Consultant!

Many thanks for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback about an experience that would have been so distressing for you. We work hard to provide a service that is compassionate and individualised at times like this. We will pass on your comments to the consultant you have mentioned.
