I attended the QA last week to have the above procedure.
Obviously I was quite nervous about this.
I spoke to a very nice member of staff on reception who put me at my ease and was very kind and helpful.
While waiting to go through there was a delay, A very loud and upsetting member of staff came through from the office and started abusing this member of staff on reception.
They wanted to know why the member of staff was not working when in fact they were talking to another patient.
This person was very offensive to this receptionist.
I felt very bad and upset about the language and tone of this person
After the receptionist had finished with the patient they were called into the office by this very loud and offensive person and then continued to give them a very rude and upsetting dressing down, calling the receptionist stupid, does not know what they are doing.
And then threatening the receptionist with dismissal.
I have not done a review before but wanted to do this last week but did not feel well enough.,
Does the NHS allow a person who was trying to be helpful and kind to be abused and threatened in such a way.
The receptionist was very quiet and obviously upset by the time they came back.
I do not know the outcome as I was then called for my procedure.
