"The attitude of the staff - defensive..."

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

What could be improved

The attitude of the staff - defensive bordering on aggressive at times.

Seeking consent to treatment would have been nice.

Advising what treatment had been given would have been appreciated.

Diagnosing the problem would have been a bonus.

Mobilising the patient would have made sense.

Not changing the management of his condition without consulting his carers would have been courteous.

Answering the questions that are asked rather than the question the nurse wants to answer would have been lovely.

Anything else?

I hope I never have to stay at this hospital and I hope other vulnerable patients who do not have the capacity to understand or consent to their treatment are not treated with such disdain in future.
