About: Fosse Medical Centre (Gk Sharma)

I, my family and some of my friends have all had problems with certain doctors in this surgery. One doctor there is very nice, but only does one hour a week, so you rarely get them.

I've had many problems with the doctor I was put with, their attitude to me caused me much stress and I would mostly leave in tears. Same for my siblings and friends.

I've been sick for years and the doctor never seemed to want to try and get to the bottom of it. I'd get a blood test and they'd say that it came back Ok, when I'm not OK... no follow up to find the true reasons for the consistent illness. I now know what my problem is and if they had followed up with more tests I could have be diagnosed many years ago, instead of having to live with it for so long.

When I asked to be put with another doctor they told me that I either see the one doctor or go to another surgery. I am in the process of moving because of this.

I would be very grateful if you would contact me regarding some of the points you have listed above, I cannot contact you due to you leaving your comment anonymously.

If I can comment as best I can without having all the details:

a. We do not have a GP that works only 1 hour per week.

b. I would ask any patient that felt upset on leaving to speak to a reception member or myself if not happy with a consultation so progress could be made rather than a patient just leave upset.

c.

If any results come back as 'normal' we would always suggest that if a patient was still having symptoms to book another appointment.

I am sorry you have left the surgery without raising these issues, but if for any reason you do choose to reregister please speak to us before a problem escalates as we would always like to be able to sort a problem for a patient if they are unhappy with our service.
