What could be improved

I visited the renal clinic today with my husband. He has been an outpatient here since April, and although the care he is receiving has been very good, the time spent in the waiting room waiting to see a consultant was unacceptable. We arrived at 10 o'clock promptly for his appointment, it took 45 minutes just to get his blood pressure done by a nurse. We then had to wait a further two hours to see a doctor. Some people had been there since 9.30 and still hadn't seen the doctor at 12.30. Many people were complaining and one even decided to cancel their appointment and remake it for a month later. The waiting room is far too small to accommodate so many people. My husband is having chemotherapy currently and his lowest immune day is today, not good when you have to sit with so many other patients for so long. There also seems to be confusion amongst the nurses sometimes with patient notes not being where they should be. Probably the worst experience we have ever had with the NHS.
