I brought my mum into a and e on a Friday night in September following a visit to the GP. Staff could not have been more friendly, patient or accommodating, from the receptionist who first saw us to the sister who made us all a cup,of tea at three in the morning in Majors.
Mum was admitted onto amuw where staff were again welcoming and answered her questions and concerns.
When we returned later to visit, she had been updated with her plan and staff took the time to explain they were waiting to hear from Queens.
The next day mum was admitted to Elizabeth Fry - what a wonderful ward, led by a ward manager who clearly knows and values their team and puts their patients first.
Nurses and healthcare assistants worked so hard to care for their patients , and special thanks to the physiotherapists that actually got my mum walking with the aid of a frame.
Please pass on thanks to the staff in all of these areas - all working together to deliver good quality care resulting in my mum has now returned home after several weeks in a rehab unit.
"GP, A &E, MAUW, Elizabeth Fry ."
