"Endoscopy procedure"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I was very nervous when I had to attend an appointment for the above but I really need not have worried. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and explained everything thoroughly. I felt I was treated with dignity and respect and every care was taken of me. One lovely touch was that as I feel the cold I took my own dressing gown which I obviously had to remove for the procedure. I asked the nurse if they would cover me in it when the sedation wore off and when I 'woke up' they had wrapped me up in it -which was really sweet and kind. The Endoscopist was amazing and I didn't feel a thing, every care was taken to explain things to me before and after the procedure. Thank you all so much for looking after me so well and helping me to not be afraid.

Thanks so much for your kind comments. It's brilliant to hear about how well the staff looked after you at the PRUH when you had your endoscopy. I am sure it made a real difference at what is a worrying time. It's those little touches and kindnesses that make all the difference. Many thanks again. Jessica
