"Excellent treatment"

In the last year I have had two mastectomies at YDH, and have nothing but praise for the hospital. They diagnosed my cancer and fixed up surgery at breathtaking speed, and they arranged chemotherapy and radiotherapy, so I've been in and out of several departments and met a cross-section of staff. There has been no delay with any of my treatment, and every single member of the hospital staff has treated me with courtesy, professionalism and warmth. They have probably saved my life, and I am now well on the way to regaining fitness. Every step of the way I have been supported by the wonderful breastcare team – you simply cannot fault their expertise and empathy. The hospital itself is a bright, welcoming, well-signposted place, spotlessly clean and with plenty of cafés (much appreciated by my husband). It's not just the high standard of medical knowledge and nursing care that makes YDH special for me, it's the whole atmosphere – confident, constructive, caring. Thank goodness for YDH!
