my mum was brought in to ED in cardiac arrest. Sadly she passed away but I cannot thank the emergency department enough for the care they gave her.
They were professional and courteous at all times, allowing me to spend time with my mum whilst they were resuscitating her which enabled me to ultimately have some closure.
They were gentle and kind with both myself and my dad when giving information and showed immense empathy. The resus team was calm and organised and highly skilled and I knew my mum was in the best of hands which has given me such comfort.
They involved me in decision making sensitively, and were lovely afterwards. I can't thank the consultant, Pete, and his team enough for what they did for my family despite the outcome. They work incredibly hard and are an asset to the NHS.
