"20 minutes to 3 hours"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead) / Plastic surgery

I came to an appointment today 20/10/17 to have a mole on my face removed being a bit of a scaredy cat I wasn't looking forward to the injections involved and told the staff this upon arrival to which all were very accommodating .

The injection at the time was feeling fine just a small scratch like feeling and didn't even feel the mole being removed great I thought felt a little dizzy after standing up walking to the waiting room and was supposed to sit for 15 minutes until I set off home and after immediately sitting down I fainted so with the help of several nurses was taken back into rowntree ward where I was tended to by the surgeon and anaesthetist who were both fantastic after regaining my composure I was taken to recovery room where I was put on a drip and had an ECG the nurse and their staff were also fantastic thankfully after 3 hours I was back to normal and was on my way home ??

I have to say that all staff at the hospital involved in my day were totally professional and completely brilliant in every way I would just like to say thanks very much to all your a credit to our NHS service

Dear Mr Humprey

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and what an experience it would appear you had!

I was so pleased to read that following your fainting spell that felt well cared for by the staff. All the staff work very hard, even when something slightly unusual occurs, and I know that the staff involved with your aftercare will appreciate your positive feedback. It is a real credit to our staff and service that you feel happy to recommend us to others.

Once again thank you for posting your comment and we wish you all the very best.

Kind regards

Nicolle Ferguson, Patient Experience Manager
