To all the staff on ward 4 at Hairmyers Hospital.

My Father was admitted to ward 4 at Hairmyers Hospital at around lunchtime in 8th September 2010. He was unconscious on arrival and died around 8pm later that day.

I drove up from York with my teenage son to see my Father as I had been told that he was seriously ill but sadly he passed away just before we arrived. It was a distressing time but every member of staff that we had contact with was extremely kind and caring and it was obvious that during my Father's short stay in hospital he had received excellant care.
