"Broken wrist"

About: Royal United Hospital / Accident and emergency

Having had a fall I visited Trowbridge hospital where an xray confirmed that I had broken my wrist.

I was sent to RUH where I was speedily dealt with in A and E, involving further xrays and finally resetting the wrist and plastering the arm.

Throughout all the staff were efficient but caring and although it was not an experience I would have chosen I was much impressed by the service I received.

My only criticism of RUH is the cumbersome and time consuming parking arrangements - I am a blue badge holder but had to get from A&E to the main reception to register my car and then back to A&E.

Trowbridge Hospital has a simple system of self registration and I am surprised that RUH does not have something similar.
