Recently I was fortunate to be a patient in ward 24, I say fortunate as it is the only dermatology unit that has in patients in the whole of Scotland. I was admitted due to having chronic leg ulcers, other medical conditions have hindered my recovery (allergy to penicillin and vastly overweight to name but two). It total I spent 3 weeks and 4 days and in those 25 days I could not have been better cared for. All the staff from consultant to the cleaners could not have been nicer. Even though they are under staffed, they always had a smile and a kind word even for the grumpiest of old men (me). I just hope that the student doctors that used me as a case study will continue to build on the great foundations of dedication; experience and patient care that the present staff have laid down, then the future of medicine will be in safe hands.
My condition has improved that much that my ulcers have healed and I am now just using compression stockings, thanks to all staff.
"Thank you to all staff"
