"Patient enquiery"

Mother admitted a week ago and up untill now all staff have been amazing.live in midlands so difficult to see mum.tried last night and today to get through to ward..obviously busy when i did get through was spoken to in an appalling manner..asked to ring back later but i explained my difficulties getting through and difficulties whilst im at work.nurse tutting and blowing and extremely rude.asked to speak to someone else second nurse even worse....Extremely patronising...telling me i was the rude one....told me how was they are supposed to know every patient on the ward!

In all my 30 years nursing i have never spoken to a relative in this way....if this is the way modern nursing is heading i am very afraid....i suggest some further training.i remind myself of many night duties giving the night nursing officer a ward round where you had to know all your patients or woe betide you!!! i am lost for words and saddened at the attitude of these 2 nurses!! And I still dont know how mum is!!!!!!
