"Shocking!"

About: Shakespeare Medical Practice

This is by far the worst medical practice. I used to be registered with another Practice, people there make you feel very welcome and getting an appointment is very easy.

Shakespeare’s medical practice is horrendous!

First of all they demand you call at 8am to make an appointment, you call at 8am on the dot the phone rings busy constantly, by the time you finally get through by 8h10-8h15 they tell you « sorry nothing left for today, you will have to try again tomorrow ». You ring tomorrow? same thing! Unbelievable! They don’t give you any other choice then try using the walk-in centre, but then again they make it difficult...

I tried today to use the walk-in and the person at reception tells me I can’t because I am registered here?! I’ve explained my situation, and then they looked at my file and tell me « we have on our records that we have booked you an appointment back in March and you didn’t show up »I was shocked! This is pure joke!I was 2months pregnant back in March when I’ve managed to book an appointment with the midwife who never turned up, waited 40mns, had to go to reception to ensure they haven’t forgotten I was here, only to be told « we’re sorry we’ve only just managed to get hold of the midwife who is ill and won’t be able to come in today. We have your details we will ring you to rearrange an appointment » . Oh well guess what?! It was the exact same person who apologised. When I reminded them of this incident they looked embarrassed obviously and booked me an appointment a the walk in centre.

A nurse called me within 5minutes of waiting and asked me what was wrong. Explained I have frequent crampes on the left side of my chest (heart side), and that lately I found myself beinf exhausted and breathing very fast at times and they straight away replied « there is nothing I will be able to do, you need to see a doctor, I can see you’ve moved address so you will have to register with your closest GP » clearly they couldn’t care less. By the way, I will register with my closest GP tomorrow with pleasure! There is no way I am going back there again... horrendous service. They were going on about my breast... they didn’t even check my pulse or blood pressure, didn’t ask me any questions. I told them I was suspecting stress to be the cause of this pain but they didn’t even aknowledge me.. instead they went « do you have any discharge from your breast? » I said no, they replied « ok let me see » they touched it, and told me « it seems fine » and they were done with me... I am no doctor but I certainly know they could have done more... if something was to happen or to be diagnosed in the future I ll be blaming them... some people are just not made to do this job, such a shame...
