"It would be best to close this surgery down!"

About: Grange Medicare - Middleton Park

I was promised that there would be a change to the appointment confusion but, you guest, even more confusion. You have to ring in the morning for a morning appointments but if they have run out of morning appointments you have to ring after 12 pm but if you ring at precisely at 12 pm they tell you that there is two before you?. It seems that they booked appointments before 12 pm at the counter, how can that be, you cannot book before 12 pm, the computer will not allow this to happen, according to the receptionist!

This appointment was urgent.

I have been hear before and I will be putting this in my next N H S report.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you are confused by the appointment booking process.

Across all our GPs we have a mixture of 'book on the day' and 'pre-bookable' appointments.

The book on the day appointments are booked by contacting the surgery at 8am for morning and 12noon for afternoon appointments.

This system was introduced a while ago at Middleton Park following feedback from patients.

Our pre-bookable appointments are for non-urgent, routine appointments and are generally made several days/weeks in advance.

I hope this helps to explain the appointment booking process but if you feel it would help, I am more than happy to meet with you to discuss your concerns further.

Louise Nock, Practice Manager
