"Zero interest in a patient in need."

About: York Street Health Practice

I contacted this morning to try and get an appointment, non available. I have what I presume is a chest infection, but I have an underlying illness, obstructive sleep apnea, which I use a bi pap for to breathe when I sleep, so my breathing is bad at the best of times, along with low oxygen levels and high hemoglobin levels. I called 111, and they told me I need immediate care within one hour, and that they would email the doctors, and that I should call and have a doctor at least call me to discuss the issues, I called the surgery back, the receptionist refused to listen and told me "turn up at 8am" "or walk to the walk in centre up by at James" without even listening to the problem at hand, I tried to explain I have chest pain and shortness of breath and I'm unable to walk more than a few a feet, they just cut across and repeated themselves to me, giving me no other options.

I feel that condition won't wait until tomorrow morning, and has been worsening by hour. I think the way I was "handled" was an absolute disgrace, with zero patient care, the only thing they cared about was getting me off the phone as quick as possible.
