Rang at 8, the phone constantly engaged when I finally got through was told a doctor would call back to speak to my daughter who is the patient and is 16. They took her phone number. When it got to nine and still no phone call I rang again, was told a doctor had tried to call and had left a message. They hadn't. turns out the number had been written down incorrectly. My daughter has had difficulty in breathing for the last two weeks and tightness of chest particularly after sport and all this week a constant hacking cough. The doctor phoned the correct number and when my daughter told her symptoms. The doctor said to go to the pharmacy for self medication as she had a cold. Now surely if you had been told those symptoms you would feel it necessary to at least listen to her chest?
Have just been to the pharmacy and they said she needs to be seen by a doctor!
Now we have to wait for the doctor to call my daughter back again. Really frustrating system void of all common sense! It's now two hours since we first phoned up. No call back phoned again constantly engaged again! Got through and told in not a plesent manor that she is on the list for the doctor to call back to decide is she needs to be seen!!!!!!!!!!!!Have been a patient for 40 years at this practice and never experience such a ludicrous system that clearly does not work!
