"They don't seem to listen"

About: Newton Surgery

At first through recommendation I thought this surgery was wonderful but it became apparent it is far from. One doctor is helpful and friendly most times but likes to play down people's symptoms then always asks if you need a prescription. They constantly use the internet to look up information on conditions and drugs on every appointment I've been to and has these standard cliches like 'Im interested in finding the cause rather than the sympton' (non literal quote) but they say it time and time again as with other cliched phrases. They appear non compassionate and when I told them i had lost weight and had muscle loss in days for no apparent reason, their immediate reply was if i'd be interested in a free gym pass twice a week. They didn't ask about the weight loss or how or why nor did they ask about nutrition or diet. I was gobsmacked. I didn't feel that was what a good doctor would do. Another doctor is slightly more interested but when they're typing up on their pc and you show or tell them something they are completely oblivious. The receptionists seem ok but for one receptionist who is extremely rude and part of one of their replies to me over the phone was "...that's what i'm saying...innit" This surgery also failed to follow up a hospital result whereby they should have been monitoring me frequently as I was put on a powerful medicine which required monitoring. Only with my intervention and mentioning did they subsequently follow through.
