"What a pain"

About: Alwoodley Medical Centre

Knowing i was running out of painkillers i called at the new practice to see if they could help. The receptionist seemed to be still in training but after a while i was promised that a prescription would be sent to my pharmacy and that the painkillers would be delivered that afternoon to my home. At 4.45pm i called the pharmacy to see how things were going and to my dismay they had heard nothing so i called the surgery to see what was going on The person who took my call was unprofessional in their approach but finally got things moving. The painkillers did not arrive and so i know i have an uncomfortable time ahead. Any mature man who has had a tonsillectomy will know what i mean.

Thank you for your comments.

I am sorry that you are not happy with the service you have received.

We do have new staff members who are in training at the moment and we would appreciate your patience and understanding.

Medication requests, except in extreme circumstances should be made 48 hours in advance and we would expect patients to monitor their medication requirements accordingly.

Thank you.

Caroline Scholey

Assistant Manager
