Absolutely sick to death of trying to establish any sort of relationship with this surgery. The few times I have been able to get an appointment (baring in mind that I have in the past waited in excess of 3 weeks for one), I have not once been seen anywhere near close to my stated appointment time. I have now twice had to take unpaid leave from work to sit in the waiting area for over 45 minutes. Given that I have an ongoing chronic illness, I have never seen the same doctor twice - I've never even seen a doctor who is not a locum (and whilst the doctors I have seen have been perfectly nice, this isn't really good enough for someone who needs ongoing care). The receptionists are on the whole fine, but there is one in particular who is incredibly uncaring and rude to every person who dare to ask a question. This receptionist offers no explanations or comprises and has a particularly accusatory tone. I have now booked an appointment which is 23 days away, as ringing on the day is not viable for me, as taking time off work to come to the surgery is no longer an option after my last few visits. 23 days is obviously way too long to wait - it is very possible that I am suffering from a lupus flare, but what are my other options? A telephone appointment where a doctor cannot see my physical symptoms and proceeds to tell me to just book in to see them? It's incredibly disappointing that such an impressive surgery, with a raft of what I'm sure are good doctors, appears to be letting so many people down. It would appear that each review highlighting issues merely gets a standard reply, and nothing changes. Is it not embarrassing to have to display the figures in the waiting room that say how few patients are happy with this surgery?
"Fed up."
