"My husband's experience."

About: Rutland Lodge Medical Centre

My husband is a type 2 diabetic, recently his medication was changed ,on testing his blood sugar levels they were not dropping so the instructions in the test said to go to the doctor.Fortunatly we were able to get a cancellation The doctor told my husband to keep taking the medication and they would have a word with the diabetic nurse and ring us after surgery. They looked online and told us that there was some appointments the following Wednesday with the diabetic nurse, they also asked my husband to bring in a urine sample .On our way out we tried to make an appointment for the following Wednesday but we were informed that no appointments existed!!! So my husband thought it was pointless bringing a urine sample in.A week later the diabetic nurse phoned my husband asking about the urine sample,he explained the situation and was told to bring one in anyway, which he did this morning,.

This afternoon he received a phone call from the surgery receptionist informing my husband that the glucose level in his sample was high and the doctor wanted to see him .Okay when can I come in asks my husband only to be told there wasn't any appointments !!! And you know what that means frustrating telephone calls constantly engaged, only to be told to try again the next day ... Not only high glucose levels but now high blood pressure levels,
