I was due to receive a telephone call yesterday informing me of the results of my recent blood test to give an indication of the progress of my leukaemia.
The call was never received despite the fact that I sat at home I waiting all day long.
This is actually the second time that this has happened.
The last time I was informed that I had changed my telephone number and not informed them.
Since I have had the same number now for 18 years and that same number was on their computer, it was a little unlikely.
No aplology was received.
I am on what they call "watch and wait".
Which means that I do not need treatment at present but am monitored so that treatment can be given when necessary.
It is commonly called "watch and worry" for good reason.
I am relatively laid back about my condition but nevertheless would like to know the results of blood tests as soon as possible.
I also don't appreciate the waste of my time.
"Telephone call not made"
