"Looked after when my caesarean scar opened up"

About: North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Tameside and Glossop PCT / Emergency GP out of hours service Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had a caesarean section at the end of august at Tameside Hospital, everything was brilliant, was looked after by ALL midwives.

5 days later I had the stitches removed by a community midwife, everything was fine. Following day I had bad cramps, burning and lots of pain in caesarean. I rang emergency doctor to come to my home and was told I had an infection!

He gave me antibiotics and some paracetamol to clear it and hopefully stop the pain. Then at the beginning of this month everything seemed OK, was walking around no pain what so ever. Later that day I went to the toilet, coughed or sneezed thinking nothing of it and heard a little pop. Looked down to find my scar had ripped open, began to panic, rang an ambulance, got to hospital was admitted.

Don't know what is happening yet but I have been looked after by all nurses 100%.

Best hospital to be in.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. It is great to know that Tameside Hospital is the best hospital to be in! I am pleased that your operation and after care went so well, but sorry to hear there were some problems after you went home. I hope you are much better very soon. I will let the midwives and nurses know about your kind comments.

Kind regards
