"Walk in service is dreadful"

About: Robin Lane Health and Wellbeing Centre

The walk in service is a joke ! I live a fair way away but am still in the extended catchment area. I recently had to use this service feeling absolutely dreadful after being sent from work to sit and wait for 2 and a half hours !! I live too far away to leave and come back as suggested, Every time I try to book an appointment I cant get one ( I too start work at 8am so cant ring that early)

The receptionist I just spoke to had no empathy or even solutions to not being able to book an appointment a week ahead ! Result in that I have now registered at a doctors closer to home and would you believe it I got an appointment !

So no more stress waiting to see a doctor for 2 and a half hours as I can now book appointments !

I'm sorry to hear you are not pleased with the walk in service and were unable to phone us when our pre-bookable appointments were released to book one.

We give every patient an estimated wait time on booking in and the option to leave and return later, without losing their place. I'm sorry to hear you live too far away to make it worth while to leave the practice and come back in a couple of hours. I'm sure registering at a surgery closer to your home will be more convenient for you.

Thank you for your comment.
