"the whole one day appointment thing is..."

the one day appointments are ridiculous, why cant I make a phone call to get an appointment like every other GP practice, when I feel ill don't want to come in to then get rejected because they have ran out of appointments for the day its so frustrating and to then be told to come the following day at 8:30am ( I totally don't have lectures throughout the week) and because I don't live close to the practice its just a huge inconvenience to have to travel all the way up to the practice and then go back when I feel dreadful and concerned about the issue.
