"Blacklisted for my surgery´s mistake"

I was rushed to hospital with an acute kidney infection. My experience at the hospital was very unpleasant but that is not my reason for this comment. When my patient history was printed including my last three appointments, it said on the report that I was a no show. I did not miss these appointments, in fact that day the nurse I had the appointment with was off sick. I was not informed my appointment was cancelled, and when I arrived at the correct time, I was told I had missed two appointments that morning! Then I finally saw a doctor and the doctor told me I should have seen a nurse not a doctor for what I needed. I have already complained about this experience, but it is still in my file that I have missed my last appointments which was a problem in hospital.

I would like to apologise to you for these issues you have experienced with the practice which caused a problem for you at the hospital. It is always our intention to offer the best possible service and I am sorry we haven't achieved this on these occasions. If you would like to give me a call at the surgery I will investigate the matter fully and the practice will rectify any discrepancies we identify in your record to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future.
