"Ninewells one stop breast screening services"

About: NHS Tayside / East Scotland Breast Screening Centre

(as a relative),

Thank you to these lovely ladies who make a scary process and procedure streamline and effortless.

I went with my visually impaired aunt today to this one stop clinic after a breast screening recall and we were fortunate to be in, Consulted on (ultrasound scan) then out even before our allocated appointed time. Staff were all exceptionally friendly from the first contact in the Reception area to when we left. I can only imagine it must be  hard working in what must be a challenging and must have to, on a daily basis break bad news at many points of contact. I especially liked hearing the individual who took my aunt to the ultrasound area, ask my aunt if she wished to follow or ‘hook in’ as she led her to the room. Such subtle little things like this matter to fiercely independent visually impaired aunties who like to remain in control. Thank you. Thank you from a grateful niece.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience via Care Opinion and for your kind words. Our staff try very hard to treat each patient as an individual based on their needs and go that extra mile to help. It is lovely to hear that this was appreciated and I will ensure your feedback is shared with the staff.

Kind regards.

Debbie Archibald

Breast Screening Services Manager
