"Staff actually taking patients to the..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

What could be improved

Staff actually taking patients to the toilet would have been good! Visiting my grandad and my Dad had to help another patient because he was calling for the nurses to help him out of bed and into his wheelchair and they were ignoring him. Not even saying that they will be with him once they have dealt with so and so...just ignoring him.

Changing his sheets would have been good considering he was in there for nearly 2 weeks and they were filthy.

Anything else?

I have recently moved closer to this hospital rather than Southend and I am dreading the thought of anything happening to me at home because I would be taken to Basildon hospital. Nursing is not a job you do 'for the money' so the excuse of being underpaid and over worked can only be used up to a certain point..if you don't care about people give up nursing.
