"The midwife helped me to breastfeed"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

While on the antenatal assessment ward the midwives were so helpful always making sure I had pain relief. They would come round every so often to monitor baby and make sure he was fine.

The midwives answered all questions and helped whenever needed.

Once we moved to the labour ward we had one to one care she helped me get through my labour ward we had one to one care she helped me get through my labour and have quite a quick and easy birth. Throughout the night after being in theatre for stitches the midwife helped me to breastfeed and make sure baby was healthy.

We later were moved to the post natal ward and was cared for extremely well.

They continued to help me through breastfeeding and answered all questions.

Unfortunately due to some issues with baby we had to stay two nights.

But they continued to help and support me.

:P

Thank you for sharing your experience of our maternity service. It is always a pleasure to hear from women that have found our midwives to be supportive, especially when helping women with breastfeeding. I will share your comments with the maternity teams as I know that they will be delighted. If you would like to send us a picture of your baby will put it on our thank you tree on the postnatal ward.

Once again thank you for your lovely comments.
